2017 Ford Flex Ltd Edition: The More The Merrier

Pack em’ in… it’s party time in the 2017 Ford Flex Ltd. Reminiscent of a 1950’s Woody, this extended sedan crossover is so spacious you’ll wonder why they didn’t install a window divider to separate the driver from the action. If you’re looking for a vehicle that offers mega seating options, this is it. Multi sunroofs add to the luxury as do ‘Limited Edition’ features like the Perforated Leather-Trimmed Seats and a Dual Zone Electronic Temperature Control feature to keep the third row toasty too. All the bells and whistles including the 3.5L EcoBoost engine, Rear View Camera and Blind Spot Information System provide the driver and up to seven passengers a safe and stylish ride. The ultimate multi person adventure ride, the SiriusXM Radio and leather-wrapped steering wheel had me grinning ear to ear, from the seawall to the slopes. FYI: the more the merrier in the 2017 Ford Flex Limited Edition, so pack in the tribe. ...

Beauty Adventures: What’s the deal with a Chemical Peel?

If you’re going to spend money on one beauty treatment, make it your face. With so many options including injections and facials on the market these days, how on earth does a woman make a choice? First and foremost find a clinic you can trust preferably via word of mouth. Once you’ve gotten some positive feedback from a friend or blogger (hint hint), go ahead and book a consultation. Go prepared to ask lots of questions. When you are ready to book s procedure you will be at ease with your skincare expert. For me, that skincare expert is Rita Moldovanos of Pure Light Laser. As a busy blogger, media personality, adventurer and Mom, I find that I don’t have much time to spend on myself. I’ll be the first to admit that when I came to Rita my skin was looking tired and neglected. With not much of a beauty maintenance program, I looked to her for advice. She recommended a chemical peel followed by microdermabrasion, a quick double... ...

Out of the kitchen and into the outdoors with Vital Supply Co!

Fall is the perfect time to reconnect with your health plan. A chance to recharge your batteries and find new healthy lifestyle solutions that will enable you more time to nourish from the inside out. Time is money and life is hectic which means the first thing to suffer when we are busy and running on empty is our nutrition. We know the right nutritional choices but precious time and money to spend on shopping, cooking and prepping healthy meals can be tricky with busy schedules. In my personal opinion, my time-off is valuable and should be spent chasing adventures and playing outdoors, not in the kitchen. Lo and behold, I recently discovered that Vital Supply Co, a Vancouver based meal preparation company offers affordable, convenient, healthy options for adventure guys and gals on the go.  Bottom line, that means more mountain and trail time. Hallelujah! I just finished the 10 Days of Vital trial (2 meals a day) and loved it. Opting for food pick-ups from The Juicery in Edgemont Village,... ...

Vancouver Staycation: Stanley Park Horse Drawn Tours

The horse drawn wagon tour around Stanley Park is a fantastic way to experience the sights, sounds and smells of Vancouver’s famed landmark park. On the ride along the old stone seawall, there are iconic views of the Vancouver skyline and waterfront. The colourful boats sit on their reflections in Coal Harbour providing gorgeous photo opportunities for both locals and tourists alike. Along the tour route there are colourful aboriginal totems to view as well as monuments and statues. The ride turns north to Burrard Inlet where there are superb views of the rugged Northshore mountains. On the far shore, one can view luxury residential areas like West Vancouver and the massive span of Lions Gate Bridge. This peaceful, green, alternative, natural way to travel congers up memories of days gone by when this was the main mode of travel. As the horses clip-clop along the asphalt road you are hypnotized. Surf Trip Essentials: Ford F150 Limited

When it comes to choosing a ride for a surf trip bigger is better. Surfboards and adventure gear require space and lots of it. Thick, cold-water wetsuits, booties and gear have to be stored somewhere. You’ll also need room in your ride for your surf crew buddies because the more the merrier when it comes to chasing waves. We fell in love with the souped-up 2016 Ford F 150 Limited. The insanely roomy passenger cab is so plush, spacious and comfy you won’t believe you are sitting in the back seat of a pick-up truck. Seats in the passenger cab flip up easily to reveal a full size storage compartment and that’s in addition to the flatbed. Both cabs easily accommodate the big guys so pack’em in boards and all. With a Twin Panel Moonroof it’s like driving the Pacific Rim forest in a fish bowl surrounded by ocean and giant Sitka spruce trees. Now crank up some surf stoke music on the F150 Limited’s sound system, a sure-fire way... ...
